WITHOUT DIALOGUE

NOVEMBER 19 – DECEMBER 17, 2015

OPENING RECEPTION:
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2015, 6 – 8 PM

GARBOUSHIAN GALLERY is pleased to present an exhibition titled Without Dialogue of selected sculptures that reflect the gallery's sensibility. The works on display are from 1986 until present and will be on exhibit until December 17, 2015. The pieces featured in the exhibition include sculptures by Dan Baldwin, Emily Counts, Tony Berlant, Danny First, John Frame, Melanie Newcombe, Anthony Pearson, Nancy Rubins, Peter Shelton, VASA, Curtis Weaver and Eric Zammitt.

Since the gallery's inception six years ago, the focus has been upon art that forces the viewer to examine and discover what is not the obvious. By exploring meaning and boundaries, which are self-reflective, the viewer is able to engage with the art. Regardless of genre, the gallery has always been and always will be about the art without any consideration to trends.

The gallery fosters inquiry and places its artists in the continuum of the development of contemporary art. Ultimately, the predominant criterion is the quality of the work itself, regardless of technique, content, or type of style. The gallery is proud to emphasize dynamic, visceral and provocatively controversial work in all media and deals with an extensive range of subject matter.

Garboushian is committed to contemporary art through a vigorous and dynamic exhibition program of national, international and Los Angeles based artists; both emerging and established, encompassing painting, sculpture, drawing, photography and installation.

Without Dialogue opens on Thursday, November 19, 2015 with a reception from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The exhibition will remain on view until Thursday, December 17, 2015.
